Louise has a lengthy reputation of providing the highest standard of training in the central North Island along with a warm and friendly approach for both the beginner and seasoned dancer.

90% of competitive successes in the central districts region have been generated by the Regent Dance Studio, now renamed as EasiDance Studio, with wins in the Juvenile, Junior, Adult and Senior age groups both National and International in Ballroom, Latin American and New Vogue. Her pupils, whom she accompanied, also represented New Zealand at the World Youth Champions in Europe.

Louise combines her great experience and a real passion for her style of dance to provide her students with the best possible tuition.

It’s not only what you know, but also how to pass it on and bring out the best in everyone that is important.

Originally trained by Jack Ball, Louise has travelled to Canada, Australia and England to keep up the latest trend and styles and continues to keep updated each year.

Beginner pupils continue to surprise and delight Louise. Evolving from a sometimes timid beginner to become confident and able social dancers.

Gladys Smeaton
(FNZFDT) BB LA NV OT

Originally from the UK, Gladys and her husband David continued dancing in New Zealand achieving continuing success. After passing her professional qualifications they took over the Wanganui branch of the Regent Dance Studio. On moving to Palmerston North Gladys is teaching at the Regent Dance Studio now renamed as EasiDance Studio.

Jive & Rumba Beginner Course

Dance with us It's Easi!!

4 Week course starts Tuesday 26th November 8.00 to 9.00pm

Have fun learning the Jive and a romantic Rumba.

You don’t need any special equipment to start out. A comfortable pair of shoes, (sneakers if you wish) clothes that are comfortable and unlikely to cause a trip hazard. Beyond that all you need is willingness to let yourself enjoy the moment. If you don't fancy coming alone, invite your partner or friends to come as well.I

IMPROVERS BALLROOM & LATIN DANCE CLASS:



Next course: January 2020

If you have been to a Beginners Latin American and Social Ballroom class, you to go to an Improver' s to hone your steps, pattern and technique. The Improver's course builds on the material taught in beginners and teaches more choreography in the dances you have learn't. If you are coming back after a break taking this course is a good way to refresh your memory.
